Glory AI Strategy Continues to Lead the Industry

Following the launch of the AI four-layer architecture in March this year, and the introduction of the multimodal personal intelligent agent (HONOR AI Agent) under the open ecosystem of the mobile phone industry in September, by October 12th, the Glory AI intelligent agent further refined into "AI+" and "5G+".

What does this mean?

On October 12th, Glory CEO Zhao Ming announced that the Glory AI intelligent agent's cooperation with China Mobile Lingxi's large model will be implemented in the upcoming flagship new product series, Glory Magic7.

Clearly, this is not a simple cooperation with its strategic investor. In fact, it is Glory's promotion of building an ecosystem - an intelligent interconnection open ecosystem, co-creating the AI+ era with ecosystem partners, and ultimately serving the ultimate goal of providing value to users.

"AI+" and "5G+" are of great value from the perspective of C-end user experience. Because Glory can achieve cross-terminal (smartphones, tablets, computers, watches, etc.) and cross-these terminal operating systems (OS) integration through MagicRing (Trust Ring).

That is to say, through the Trust Ring, Glory can achieve seamless flow of the performance and capabilities of multiple terminals. This is at the bottom of the first layer in the Glory AI four-layer architecture: AI-enabled cross-system integration.

By the way, Apple Intelligence, in terms of technology, system, and application strategy, has "replicated" the technical ideas of the Glory AI four-layer architecture.

One device will be implemented in the Magic7 series.Under the framework guidance of the Glory AI four-layer architecture, with "AI+" and "5G+" as ecological entry points, Glory promotes the integration across terminals and across OS systems, and various types of terminals are therefore "packaged" into a unified super terminal.

This is the latest refinement of Glory's AI strategy and also a new progress that can be seen in commercialization. The technical connotation of One device is extremely astonishing, the commercial value is enviable, and the C-end user experience is first-class.

For example: A user with a laptop, on a high-speed train or in a coffee shop, if they want to go online, it usually requires setting up a hotspot or looking for public WiFi.

Now, through the Glory Trust Ring, cross-device integration (i.e., One device) can freely call the mobile data services of mobile communication: in the browser on the laptop, you can directly enter the website to go online immediately, without any additional settings, because "AI+" and "5G+" have integrated multiple terminals into a super terminal.

Similarly, based on the Glory Trust Ring, the laptop can also call the imaging capabilities, AI capabilities, or any other capabilities of the smartphone. For example, the resolution of the laptop's camera cannot be compared with the smartphone, but through the Glory Trust Ring, the Glory MagicBook Art 14 can call the front and rear cameras of the Glory smartphone or tablet.

It is clear that the Glory Trust Ring is the core of One device, but Glory has not provided a detailed technical explanation for the Trust Ring. Therefore, the outside world does not understand the technical connotation of the Glory Trust Ring.

From the technical characteristics of HarmonyOS - the terminal OS can achieve seamless collaboration across terminals because it uses a distributed architecture, it seems that the Glory Trust Ring has also used similar technical means, so the capabilities of cross-terminal devices can serve as external devices and terminals for each other.

This is the virtualization and resourceization of terminal resources. The performance and configuration of various terminals are pools of resources. Through the Glory Trust Ring, according to the user's scenario needs, you can call the hardware and software capabilities of other terminals from the resource pool through a certain terminal.

It is unknown whether the upcoming Glory MagicOS 9.0 will provide a more detailed technical explanation of the Glory Trust Ring. What Wall Street can currently confirm is that One device can be implemented in the Magic7 series, but this alone is enough to be anticipated.If leveraging the communication capabilities of a smartphone through a laptop is considered "5G+", then using the same laptop to access the smartphone's AI anti-fraud, AI face-swapping detection, or AI photo enhancement capabilities against technologies like DeepFake is "AI+".

This will be achieved through the cross-application open ecosystem intelligent entity that Honor launched globally at the IFA exhibition on September 6th, in collaboration with ecosystem partners to build together.

Zhao Ming said, "The AI intelligent entity is a real-time online assistant with natural semantic understanding and screen UI understanding capabilities. For example, it can identify, analyze, and understand the content presented on the screen, while learning the user's behavioral habits, recognizing the user's intentions, and making decisions to perform cross-application actions."

AI Open Ecosystem Leader

Building on the launch of Honor's AI intelligent entity on September 6th, Zhao Ming further classified Honor's AI intelligent entity on October 12th.

"Honor's AI intelligent entities are divided into two types: one is the edge-side AI intelligent entity, which can access applications from other terminals, and these two intelligent entities can achieve collaboration and cooperation," said Zhao Ming. "The second type is a more advanced and complex intelligent entity, which we call the one that truly ushers the smartphone into the era of autonomous driving, meaning it can imitate humans within other terminal applications, achieve cognition and understanding of the application's content, and imitate humans to carry out corresponding operations."

Honor's AI intelligent entity collaborates with China Mobile's LingXi large model, leading the industry in the interconnectivity of AI intelligent entities.

Through this collaboration—Honor's YOYO and the interconnectivity with China Mobile's LingXi—users can check their phone balance or renew their phone charges with voice commands (by speaking a sentence). The connection, communication, and exchange between these two intelligent entities can switch seamlessly.

Zhao Ming believes that "collaboration between two intelligent entities is an important development direction for future AI intelligent entities."The evolution of Honor's AI strategy to this day shows a gradual refinement, making it clear that the "AI+" and "5G+" initiatives unveiled by Honor on October 12th are promoting industry collaboration and co-creating an AI ecosystem prosperity through a "ubiquitous integration" approach.

Honor's starting point for ecological co-construction is very high: Honor has successively announced partnerships with international tech giants such as Microsoft, Qualcomm, and Intel at MWC (Mobile World Congress), Viva Technology (VivaTech), and IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin).
